Pastor Riga, the charismatic leader of an insular Christian community, begins to preach that chosen members of her congregation will soon transcend their earthly bodies. Ben, a twelve-year-old boy, believes he is one of the chosen few. Ben’s mother, convinced that Ben has been swept up in a religious fervor, resorts to desperate measures to save her son.
