In the heart of the Bible Belt, a local theatre announces it will stage a play called Rapture in America—complete with seven seconds of male nudity—and the city goes into a frenzy. Based on actual events, Eric Coble's Southern Rapture turns this civic eruption into a wickedly funny satire about artistic freedom, arts funding, the weaponization of civic institutions, and what happens when conviction outruns common sense.

[4] 2026 Chicago Pride Parade
Sunday, 6/28/2026: Please leave extra time for travel and parking.
The Chicago Pride Parade's central hub bisects the route between Lake Shore Drive and our theater, making it extremely difficult (let's just say impossible) to get here on Belmont. Almost all roads will be busy, and parking will be scarce. Please leave plenty of time for travel and parking, or plan an alternate travel route on public transit.
